1. Preparing the Files
After downloading the CC, it is usually compressed in a .zip or .rar file.
Use a program like WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract the files.
2. Activating Mods in the Game
- Open The Sims 4.
- Access Settings: Go to the options menu (the three dots in the top right corner).
- Enable Custom Content: Go to "Other" and check the "Enable Custom Content and Mods" and "Script Mods Allowed" options.
- Restart the Game: For the changes to take effect, The Sims 4 needed to be restarted.
3. Importing a Sim with CC
Now that your game is ready to accept CC, it's time to add the Sim:
Place Files in Correct Folder: Sim files (usually located in a folder called "Tray") need to be placed in the Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray folder.
Make sure you have the required CC: If the Sim requires specific CC, make sure all associated .package files are in the Mods folder.
